These 75 year old sequias near Live Oak Lodge, Whitakers Forest, are much too large for effective pruning of lower branches. We are now doing thinning and similar pruning in a 50 year old plot west of Eshom Creek where the trees have long been stagnated by overcrowding. June 1950. Metcalf
