Valley Times TODAY article dated April 28, 1962 partially reads, ""The governor seemed definitely impressed" said Valley city planner Willard Ridings who toured the Valley's civic center area with Gov. Edmund G. Brown Friday. Brown visited Van Nuys at 2:30 p.m. after arriving by helicopter at Van Nuys Airport for an hour's inspection of the Valley Administrative Center."
