Description
Two manuscripts pasted together consist of two parts of a contract. The document gives power to Kean's attorneys in a legal issue between Edwards and Kean. Document is signed by Kean three times. A witness, B. Kirkham, signs the document twice. Larger manuscript contains the details of the legal agreement. Physical characteristics of the larger document include: a wax seal, an embossing, and the watermark of "C Wilmot 1823." Smaller document also contains an embossing and lists Kean's payment schedule on the back side. Larger manuscript is dated April 15, 1825, and the smaller document is dated January 28, 1825. The following adjustments have been made to images: image two has been rotated 90 degrees to the left prior to its scan, image three has been rotated 90 degrees to the left, image four has been rotated 90 degrees to the left, image five has been rotated 90 degrees to the right, and image six has been rotated 180 degrees to the right.
