Mrs. Vada Flowers - president of the Save The Oaks Society, Inc., member of the Tree Preservation Committee of Los Angeles Beautiful, and member of the Valley Beautiful Committee - has been robbed of a prized English walnut tree. Thieves Thursday toiled five hours in the back yard at 5055 Louise Ave. before making off with a one-ton burl, worth $600, from the base of the tree."
