Description
Republican graffiti, Whiterock Road, Ballymurphy, West Belfast, 1983. 'Stoop Down Low Party'; the nickname given by Sinn Féin supporters to the Social Democratic and Labour party, the main constitutional Nationalist Party in Northern Ireland for the majority of the existence of the State. The graffiti belongs to the 1983 General Election Campaign in which the Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams retained his seat against the SDLP challenger Dr.Joe Hendron. Local graffiti surrounding.
