V1p87a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 87 top. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo: "217-221 Fremont St. 1880 between Howard & Folsome [sic] Streets. FIRM NAME-Thos. Pendergast, James Pendergast and George Johnson." View is of large wooden building with names "Pendergast & Smith" and "Aetna Iron Works" painted on side. Large numbers of iron wheels and pipes piled in front of building with men sitting on top of them. Empty dray with driver parked in front of building.
