Photograph caption dated December 3, 1964 reads, "Nice try - Poly High's Don Epstein (15) had his shot blocked by Grant's Jim Nielsen (55) in the third period of the Grant-Poly East Valley League basketball game. Grant's Jay Astor (44) looks on at the play. Poly upset previously undefeated Grant, 69-51, on Grant's home court."
