Two Contra soldiers walk along a road near the Honduras-Nicaragua border. The Contra in the back is wearing a black beret, a watch on his left wrist, and he is holding his FN FAL assault rifle over his right shoulder. The Contra in the front is walking with his right hand in his pocket as he holds his FN FAL assault rifle over his left shoulder. Both Contras are wearing military uniform. They are members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN), known informally as "Contras."
