Description
A zigzag footbridge crosses one of the tranquil lagoons in the Japanese Friendship Garden in Kelley Park. The traditional Japanese garden was built in 1965 as a symbol of friendship between San Jose and its Japanese sister city of Okayama. The bridge is built in a zigzag pattern so that evil spirits who attempt to cross will instead fall into the water.
