Image of a minstrel dance scene in an outdoor courtyard with five African American men dancing in the foreground before six dancing African American women holding folding fans and a row of African American soldiers in the background, with a young boy holding a sign labeled "Haverly's Cadets" at right and a boy with two buckets at his feet at left of dancers.
Top margin trimmed from local copy; printer supplied by cataloger based on similar item in collection with same artist's signature (priJLC_ENT_000468); probable date range based on artist's history; Morgan worked for the Strobridge Lithograph Company from 1878 until 1885. "Matt Morgan"--text, artist's signature in stone, lower right.
