Description
There was joy in the household of James W. Hamilton of Compton, as he and his wife, Alice, and their two children, Gilbert and Coelette, prepared to move from their present home. The Hamilton's were the first family to move into one of the new modern units in the County Housing Authority's first low-rent housing project, Carmelitos. The housing projects are located at 5150 Atlantic Boulevard, in North Long Beach. Photo dated: October 24, 1940.
