Item originally owned by illustrator Curtis Wager-Smith (1870-1950). Date supplied by cataloger based on book publication date; D. Appleton & Co. published La letra escarlata in 1894. "Lincoln N.Y."--text, artist's signature on stone, bottom left of image. "De venta aqui D. Appleton y Cia., Nueva York"--text, bottom margin.
