Description: Taken in circa 1975 and looking west, this photograph of a busy K Street Mall captures pedestrians passing by the Hotel Regis at 1106 Eleventh Street. Also visible - and lining the southern side of K Street - are Grebitus and Son Jewelers at 1100 K Street and Hastings Men's Clothing at 1022 K Street. Built in 1912, the Regis underwent a 20,000 dollar rennovation in October 1927 when its entrance was switched from K Street to Eleventh Street.
