Description
This is an interview with Pamela Wilson done for the Lesbian History Project. She is a San Diego attorney involved in the LGBT community. In this interview she discusses her background with the women's center at UC San Diego, Las Hermanas (a coffeehouse and cultural center opened as an alternative to the gay bar scene), the Amalfi Street collective (a dorm home and safe space for gay students). She also discusses her experiences in therapy and her life after she finally came out as a lesbian. This interview provides a good cross-section of lesbian spaces in San Diego as well as cultural expectations of the 1970s.
