Description
Two women pose with a large relief map showing the route of the proposed Colorado Aqueduct, including the Calajo Reservoir and Pine Canyon Reservoir and water lines to the Southern California communities. In 1931, in the midst of the Depression, voters in the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California approved a bond issue of $220 million to build the Colorado Aqueduct.
