Photograph caption dated October 6, 1959 reads "County Supervisors Ernest E. Debs, left, and Warren M. Dorn, right, present plaque commending Earl B. Gilmore for his many years of community service. Gilmore's many accomplishments include the building of Gilmore Stadium and the establishment of the Farmer's Market and the Gilmore Commerical and Savings Bank. He has served on many commissions, including the State and County Fish and Game Commission, Los Angeles Police Commission and County Parks and Recreation Commission. Award ceremony took place at a reception for civic leaders recently in Gilmore's home at 6301 West Third St., Los Angeles."
