Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born silent film actress, famously known as "America's sweetheart," co-founder of American Artists film studio, and one of the original founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Photograph caption dated April 8, 1959 reads "Mary Pickford, with atty. Harned Pettus Hoose, in court to fight suit to enforce sale of her and husband's share of TV station."
