View 2: Hollywood as seen from across the Hollywood Freeway. View shows the many buildings in the area which includes the Capitol Records Building (left) and Knickerbocker Hotel (right). Photo dated: February 5, 1992. Capitol Records is a cylindrical shape devised from a stack or records. 13 stories rise 150 ft. to provide 78,000 sq. ft. It was built in 1954. Architect was David Becket, contractor, C.L. Peck Co.
