Description
Photograph of waves crashing violently on the Arch Rocks at Laguna Beach, ca.1885. There is a large rugged rock near an isolated sandy section of the shore at center and a low wave is breaking on top of it. The shore is rocky and steep in the foreground and in the distance, and the rocks are churning the water into a white froth. A gazebo is built on the rocks overlooking the ocean at center. It is light-colored and has a conical roof. There are mountains in the distance running parallel to the shore.
