Description
This 1986 image shows the interior of Sacramento's Southern Pacific train depot, located at 401 I Street. Visible in the frame is a 50-foot-long mural completed in 1931. It depicts the groundbreaking for the transcontinental railroad.
As of 2020, Amtrak occupies the former Southern Pacific Depot.
