Description
Photograph of Mission San Juan (Jose), showing decorative entrance, San Antonio, Texas, ca.1900. Elaborate stone carvings grace the entrance and the window directly overhead. Most of the decorations are floral, but statues of saints and an angel can be seen around the circular window. Also, a small carving of Mary can be seen above the entrance. The roof is gone. A wooden post and rail fence blocks entry just inside the entry. This was the second mission in San Antonio.
