This was the tearful scene at inquest today into the death of Patrick Burns jr., 7, when the boy's grief-stricken mother, Mrs. Constance Burns (in black) collapsed as witnesses related details of how her son was killed by a motorist as he walked through a guarded school crossing. The boy's father, left, and aunt, Eva Frerger, right, sobbed with Mrs. Burns. Photograph dated November 15, 1947.
