Description
The Valley to Vietnam series, produced by Sacramento Public Library, traces the arc of experience of Vietnam era veterans living in the Sacramento, California area. Born into a long line military men, Tom Hayes spent time in Vietnam leading a Marine platoon, specializing in the mine and booby trap disposal in the I Corps region of South Vietnam. Upon returning to California, Hayes held several positions in California State Government, including State Treasurer and Auditor General.
