Description
A light-haired young woman wears an outfit in the true blue of Yale University. She sits next to a neoclassical urn full of violets and pansies which sits on a classically-inspired pedestal. Behind her is a wrought-iron fence, a statue on a pedestal, trees, and the university buildings of Yale. She wears a long blue suit with a gored skirt, trimmed around the hem with four rows of blue on blue banding. The jacket buttons down the front, and has a v neck with a turned back collar. The long sleeves are narrow with wide cuffs. Her blue tie lies on a blue and white striped blouse and her jacket is adorned with a corsage of violets at the center front. A light transparent veil covers her face and her matching blue hat, which is trimmed with grey feather plumes. The veil is tied in a bow at the neck. To complete her outfit she wears tan gloves, carries a blue parasol trimmed with a blue bow, and wears a small brown purse around her waist displaying the letter "Y" for Yale.
