Description
Members of Sacramento's YMCA rest, read and chat amidst the first floor of the organization's headquarters on Fifth and J Streets in this circa 1920 postcard. Built in 1913, the building stood as the YMCA's home until 1950, when the group moved to Twentieth and W streets. The Fifth and J structure then became the Olympic Hotel, serving in that capacity until 1969, when it was razed.
