Photograph of a section of Signal Hill Oil Field, November 19, 1930. A shore wire fence can be seen in the foreground, in front of a field of many oil derricks. Clouds of steam can be seen rising from some of the oil derricks, and a number of oil storage drums can be seen, at left. At middle right, a shack can be seen behind an elevated platform which supports the front-most derrick.
