Photograph caption dated August 14, 1983 reads, "This Cadillac ran into a stationary RTD bus at Western Avenue and 89th Street in Los Angeles and was the underdog. The impact pushed the bus back five feet. It all began when an off-duty police officer was pursuing the alleged hit-and-run driver of the Cadillac which slammed into another car which in turn spun around and demolished yet another car before crashing into two parked cars. The final toll was six persons injured, the Cadillac's driver seriously, and five cars damaged."
