Photo--Black and white: The Garbo Orchard, sacks of apples stacked on the flat bed of a vintage truck with four men circa mid 1910s. The apples in the sacks are windfalls and were picked off the ground. After filling a burlap sack, each man had to sew up the sack with twine to secure the apples. The Garbro Orchard was located at Vine Hill Road and River Road area. The Garbro Orchard was operated by brothers A.M. and J.M. Garcia.
