Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mission Santa Ynez (Inez?) taken by photographer Edward Vischer, before 1875. The entrance and main building of the mission stand to the right, its left half (in which the wooden arched door is visible) smoothe-surfaced while a bell tower to the right is evidently made of brick. A portico extends from the main building to the left distance, where it meets the hills in the background. Its roof is covered by terracotta tiles. Photoprint reads: "Not by Vischer -- he made drawings -- see Bancroft Library, Berkeley".
