Photograph caption dated May 10, 1955 reads, "Miss Jean Eder, right, of Reseda, was among the first three top young girls in the national contest Home Maker of Tomorrow, sponsored by General Mills. Miss Eder is shown with Mrs. Verne Patten, education chairman of the Van Nuys Woman's Club. Miss Eder appeared before the group and presented cook book to Mrs. Patten and discussed contest."
