Description
This circa 1910 postcard shows a California State Capitol building's sculpture, entitled "Columbus’ Last Appeal to Queen Isabella." It was created in Florence, Italy, by American sculptor Larkin Goldsmith Meade. It took six years to complete and has sat beneath the Capitol rotunda since 1883.
