Description
Shown in this 1937 postcard are McKinley Park’s Kiesel Lake and the abundance of flora adorning its banks. This Sacramento park opened in 1871 as East Park and was owned by the Sacramento Street Railway Company. Later renamed in the wake of President McKinley's assassination, the park was bought by the city of Sacramento in 1902.
