Description
View of Wilshire Blvd., shown from the east looking west, not far from the intersection with Crenshaw Blvd. Men appear to be working on the right side of the road, which is under construction. Cars travel east and west using the single lane on the left. Several buildings are visible, including the Wilshire United Methodist Church (center, background), which is located at 4350 Wilshire Boulevard. Designed by Allison and Allison architects and built in 1924, the church has a Romanesque exterior with a Gothic interior. Photograph dated July 23, 1937.
