Photograph caption dated December 9, 1959 reads, "Sita, 700-pound Indian baby elephant, gift to Art Linkletter and Los Angeles children, arrives at Burbank and is greeted by Linkletter, right, and Mayor Norris Poulson. Small girl, left, is Indian child, one of party accompanying elephant to U.S. Animal arrived via Flying Tigers lines and wil [sic] be first gift to zoo."
