Photograph of two women practicing a life-saving drill in a pool, ca.1930. Miss Janet Prendergast "rescues" Mrs. William A. Heitman in this picture, with Prendergast to the right and Heitman to the left. Both women are clad in dark-colored swimsuits and swimming caps. Prendergast holds Heitman by the strap of her swimsuit and pulls her floating body toward the side of the pool. Heitman closes her eyes and is motionless.
