Sygeplejerske og jordemoder ved hospitalet, 1960-64. Efter videreuddannelse i England, blev hun leder af operations- og røntgenafdelingen og deltog desuden i undervisning af sygeplejeelever, 1966-72. Efter hjemkomsten fra Tanzania deltog Ruth Jensen fortsat i kirkeligt arbejde, læste "Teologi for Lægfolk"og var engageret i Danmissions hjemmearbejde, frem til sin død i 2010. (Foto 1966)

Ruth Irene Jensen, b. 1933. Course at the Parish Folk High School, Marthabo. Nurse, 1956. Midwifery training in Glasgow, Scotland, 1959-60. Sent by DMS to Taanganyika/Tanzania, 1960-72. Working areas: The Evg. Lutheran Church/ELCT's Hospital, Ndolage. Nurse and midwife at the hospital, 1960-64. Following further training in England, she became manager of the operating theatre & radiological departments, and was teaching nursing students as well, 1966-72. Following return to Denmark she studied "Theology for the Laity" and was engaged in church ministry as well as the homework of Danmission, until her death in 2010. (Photo 1966).
