A beautiful scene of the mountains over the San Jacinto mountain route, between Palm Springs and Riverside. Palm Springs is a famed desert resort city once known as the "Playground of the Stars" because major stars and celebrities owned houses here from the 1930's to the 1970's. The city is located approximately 110 miles east of Los Angeles, and lies at the foot of one of Southern California's most majestic mountain peak, Mount San Jacinto, with an elevation of 10,834 feet.
