Description
Photograph of unidentified oil derricks on the side of a hill, ca.1930. Countless wooden derricks can be seen on the oil field, which stretches from the foreground into the distance at both left and right. The derricks are tapered structures with platforms at the top and three-quarters of the way up. In the foreground at right is a small hill, and several wells are visible on the slope. A narrow paved road can be seen near the base of the hill at center.
