Printed on reverse: Nestling in the shelter of the surrounding hills, the town of Avalon presents a busy scene of beach, business streets, hotels, and apartments, tent villas and attractive bungalows. Like some foreign city, Avalon climbs back into the hills, looking down on the Bay and yachts at anchor. Written on reverse: "Here today, Gone tomorrow, Be home soon. The Ruffs" Postmark: Aug 29, 1941.
