Photograph article dated February 24, 1964 partially reads, "President Lyndon B. Johnson was back at his desk today and Los Angeles was recovering from one of its most historic weekends - a three-day period in which the leaders of the United States and Mexico met and came to grips with their common problems... President Johnson returned to Washington by jet Sunday with a suntanned face and the knowledge that at least part of California is on his side, if the screaming thousands who turned out to see him here were any indication. Mexican President Adolfo Lopez Mateos was similiarly toasted up to the time of his departure for Mexico Saturday afternoon." Pictured are Mexican President Adolfo Lopez Mateos and wife, Eva, squeezing through throngs of well-wishers.
