In 1960, the North Hollywood YMCA became the East Valley YMCA.
Photograph caption dated February 6, 1959 reads, "Lovely Hula Hands -- Nalani Maldonada, right, of Granada Hills, hula instructor at North Hollywood YWCA, teaches her daughters Sandra, 14, and Malia, 4, basic steps and hand motions of dance. Enrollment in hula classes, conducted every Saturday at YWCA, 5124 Tujunga Ave., is still open and registration information may be obtained by calling POplar 3-8191."
