The relations among the Christian minority and the Muslims of Zanzibar have for a long time been quite tense. Dorthe Davidsen and Arngeir Langås are from 2002 sent by Danmission to Evg. Lutheran Church/ELCT, placed at Zanzibar District. And through their activities they are trying to bring Muslims and Christians on speaking terms by creating an environment for cooperation, mutual understanding and acceptance. (Photo 2002).
