Description
2009-1203. View of rescuers in rowboats and remains of Lincoln Beachey's crashed airplane on March 14, 1915. The wings of Lincoln Beachey's airplane broke off while performing a stunt, and he and his plane crashed in San Francisco Bay, causing Beachey's death. A crowd is seen looking on from the waterfront as the airplane remains are being lifted out of the bay.
