Description
This is a photograph of "John Fong Ying, former catechist of Fr. Superior in Boston, Mass. [about 1908] now a proprietor of a resaurant in Fitchburg, Mass. He is one of our prize Christians of Sunning [now Xinning] where he is helping us get a mission started. He leaves China for U.S. next month. Has visited the writer's brother and family in Worcester, Mass. And the Cairns family with Margt Murray, head of the Theophane Venard Circle of Worcester visited John in Fitchburg." He wears an western suit and tie.
