Description
2018-2012. Waist-length portrait. Born in Syracuse, N.Y. in 1841 to Quincy Adams Johnson and Juliette Rosephine Rodington. Arrived in Sacramento in 1865 where practiced law. Served in the U.S. Congress from 1895 to 1897; in the California Assembly in 1877-78, 1898, 1900, 1902 and 1906; in California Senate for 23rd and 24th sessions. Served as director of State Board of Agriculture in 1899, 1901. Member of the Grand Army of the Republic, Warren Post No. 54. Died in 1926.
