2008-1650 PHOTO: ADVERTISEMENTS: BILLBOARDS Shows billboard for Table Rock Mineral Water, J. Chas. Green Co. mounted above the roof of building. Below is series of buildings lining brick-paved street. Horse and carriage on right. Buildings painted with series of advertisements - Dentyne Chewing Gum, Imperiales Cigarettes, Prima Lucia Cigar, Cubanola Cigars. Buildings include - M. Rosenberg, men's clothing & furnishing goods; Oyster House, Union Restaurant; Henry Kruse Cafe. "H.S. Hoyt" -- stamped on back. Possibly commissioned by the J. Chas Green Co. to document their signs. Company was owned by Jacob Charles Green, formerly of Varney & Green, between 1909 and 1914. Firm did outdoor advertising, bill posting, painted signs, street cars, railroad bulletins.
