Description
Negative shows an African American woman, Jenifer Williams, at the 1986 y-Walk. She is speaking into a microphone and has a paper her hand. There is sound equipment sitting on a chair in front of her and another woman is standing on the other side of it. A man and a few other people are standing behind the second woman. The YWCA building and it's landscaping is in the background.
On envelope 1986 Y-Walk. "Executive Director Faith Rein (the top job had been renamed again) and President Sarah Janigian launched two annual events that heaped public attention on the association: the Y-Walk downtown in 1984, in which volunteers enlisted sponsors to raise money for YWCA programs; and TWIN, Tribute to Women and Industry, in 1985."
