Photograph caption dated December 10, 1962 reads, "Ray I. Hall, foreground, Los Angeles city engineer, enjoys view of surrounding terrain from new steel and timber bridge dedicated Friday on Sunswept Dr. in the hills of Studio City. Bridge replaces a wooden one which was washed away during the rains of 1952. Leading a 10-year fight to get the new bridge - to give the area two-way accessibility in case of emergency - was Mrs. Charles Hall, 3940 Sunswept Dr., who is standing in background with Councilman C. Lemoine Blanchard, who assisted in dedicating the bridge."
