Photograph caption dated December 1, 1953 reads, "Busy Encino women who are taking time from their personal Christmas shopping to further their community's Encino Christmas Park program are left to right, Mesdames M. W. "Jack" Truss, J. Earl Stewart, John Shura and Ted Gibson, all making brightly colored, period costumes designed by Mrs. Stewart for actors in the Nativity Play at Encino Park December 16, 19 and 21 at 8:15 p.m. Other civic seamstresses not pictured are Mesdames Harold Barnes, J. L. Pettus, H. P. Vallikett and W. Roy Heskett."
