Description
Photograph of a residential area dotted with oil wells, ca.1926. Rows of houses line the foreground and stretch into the distance, separated by streets and a series of wooden oilrigs. In the foreground stand several homes, some bungalows, others two-story units. Each has a touch of green, be it a small lawn or line of trees. A two-story building sits behind this row of homes, at the rightmost corner of the picture. Behind it stands a wooden oilrig, and another stands across this, left of center. Rows of houses compose the distance, and the oilrig towers stand tall amongst them. A sloping hillside with a winding path makes up the background.
